Shen Yun Musicians Say Hello (Preview)

1. Violinist Gustavo Briceno and his wife, bassoonist Gabriela Gonzalez-Briceno, play G.F Handel Sonata in G major, HWV 358. Notice the adorable painting (by J Roy Baz) behind him.
2. Violist James Hwang is practicing a Brahms viola sonata.
3. Pipa player Yu Lian working on an ancient Chinese piece that she is still planning on performing solo.
4. Xiaochun Qi playing the erhu classic Ditty of Henan.
5. Conductor Milen Nachev getting to know his brand-new Yamaha with a Beethoven piano sonata. The Yamaha’s manual, he says, is 350 pages long.
6. Violist Paulina Mazurkiewicz plays Bach's Fantasia Cromatica.
7. Trumpet player Eric Robins in his backyard. He says he’s playing nature’s melody.
8. Percussionist Brian Marple took his tambourine out for some fresh air in his yard. Yes, the trees and bench make his backyard look like a park.
9. Clarinet player Yevgeniy Reznik practicing some of his solos from previous Shen Yun Symphony Orchestra concert tours. Also, notice his product placement with not one, but two cushion covers from Shen Yun Shop!
10. Once performances start again, bassoonist Steven Louie wants to make sure he’s ready. Don’t let his pajama bottoms throw you off - he’s hard at working preparing the hundreds of reeds he needs for every tour.
