Photos from Tour: The Joy of Spring (Preview)

    1. The Sabatini Gardens have three terraces, one of which was designed with symmetry in mind. So naturally, these dancers took that into account for their poses.
    2. Spring is here! With nature's beauty within reach, principal dancer Anna Huang takes a moment to enjoy the season's colorful blooms.
    3. Who could resist those puppy-dog eyes? While strolling the streets of Madrid, principal dancer Henry Hung stops to give his new furry friend some well-deserved attention.
    4. Amidst the bustling souvenir stands in Madrid, dancer Daniel Sun finds himself drawn to a shiny helmet: Should he wear it on his next adventure?
    5. Toledo, known as the
    6. Next stop, Seville! Amidst the streets of Seville, a white horse carriage gracefully carries its passengers while revealing the city's historical charm.
    7. Sound engineer Jacob Wallenberg takes a break from the studio to enjoy the peaceful rhythm of a horse's clip-clopping hooves.
    8. When it comes to expressing awe, dancer Anna Wang doesn't hold back—she kicks things up a notch, or in this case, holds her leg up high in a stunning split pose outside the Alcazar de Sevilla!
    9. Alcazar de Sevilla is a magnificent palace complex in the heart of Seville, Spain. It was originally a fortress built by the Moors in the 10th century, but it was later expanded and converted into a palace for the Christian kings.
    10. The interior of Alcazar de Sevilla is a true feast for the eyes with its intricate architectural details and beautiful tilework.
    11. Emcee Julie Xu takes on a new role as gatekeeper of Alcazar de Sevilla, welcoming us to the historic site with her signature charm and grace.
    12. We love it here! Dancers take a photo with their local tour guide.
    13. Principal dancer Angelia Wang spreads her wings in a narrow alleyway, embracing the beauty of Spain's winding streets.
    14. As our tour takes us to Brazil, we are welcomed by the warm and cheerful locals, who greet us with cute golden balloons, symbolic of their contagious joy.
    15. Theater is essential to Brazil's cultural heritage, and these dancers cannot wait to perform at the Curitiba Guaíra Theater in Curitiba, Brazil.
    16. The back-leg hold is a hallmark of female classical Chinese dancers, and Anna Wang demonstrates her mastery of this move with exceptional poise.
    17. Another challenging move, the standing side split demands both flexibility and strength. But in the hands (and legs) of a skilled dancer like Nara Oose, it becomes an effortless display of grace.
    18. Who says dancers can't have brains and brawn? Our dancers take their reading material seriously, even if it's just their own program books!
    19. Meanwhile, across the pond, dancers from the Shen Yun New Era Company come together to hone their standing side splits as a group.
    20. In the world of classical Chinese dance, flexibility is a critical component of achieving the graceful lines and fluid movements that define the art form.
    21. Pushing the boundaries of flexibility, our dancer flashes a bright smile as she shows off her impressive oversplit.
    22. Our dancers even showcased some classical Chinese dance while visiting beautiful sites in Red Rocks Park.
    23. They strive to find harmony in their movements amidst the Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado—the only naturally occurring amphitheater in the world, as well as being acoustically perfect!
    24. Indeed, perfection in any artistic pursuit is often achieved by taking things one step at a time.
    25. On a day off, dancers from the Shen Yun World Company visit a salt field in Tainan, Taiwan, and learn how natural sea salt is dried and harvested from seawater.
    26. With the salty wilderness as the stage, and the setting sun as the spotlight, Shawn Ren practices his craft amidst the shimmering salt crystals.
