Shen Yun Review: Rod Moran, award-winning poet

“It’s very, very impressive, wonderful poetry about it. Everything from the costuming to the music to the storylines and the pure beauty of the dancing is just breathtaking. As I say, so far it seems to me, to be one gigantic poem. It’s beautiful... I’m never going to be able to see chopsticks in exactly the same way again. That was a most beautiful, beautiful piece. And it had a kind of a wit and a humor about it as well. Terrific stuff... I must say that the thousands and thousands and thousands of years that are involved in Chinese civilization, that came across very much as well. And it’s breathtaking to me that this kind of a program can not be seen in China. It’s astonishing, absolutely astonishing, and an indictment of the contemporary regime in my view.”
