Shen Yun Review: Christopher Popa, librarian, Chicago Public Library

“I thought it was wonderful in every aspect! So much energy, so much color, excitement, a good message, a lot of smiling faces, and a packed house, I was happy to see… I also was impressed that they pointed out that so many of the things like money and material possessions don’t matter at the end of the life… It had to do with the purpose of life. And, we need to stop and sort of take a breath, no matter what craziness is going on in the world, no matter what things are happening to us—we need to say, what is the big picture, what am I really doing here, and what is important, what is my mission, what is my purpose, what am I going to achieve with my life. This was a little respite, shall we say, from the outside world, where we could enjoy, through music, and through dance, and through lessons, an important thing about our lives.”
