Shen Yun Review: Julie Hudak Lacouture, nonprofit consulting firm founder

“I think this shares a lot of hope, and beauty, and resilience, and a lot of strong, important skills for Chinese Americans to see so that they can know their heritage. And other Americans as well—to learn, and respect, and support the Chinese that are not of the communist regime… I’m grateful for our freedom and I think that this plays a big role in little bits…maybe people will research more and read and learn a lot more about communism and what was lost in a beautiful, beautiful country. The country—I’ve never been there—but you can tell the mountains, and the scenes, and the people are so spiritual. And I think, to not be able to have the freedom to express your spiritual beliefs, I think would be very, very hard. And I’m grateful for that.”
