Reviving a Lost heritage

For thousands of years, China was profoundly spiritual. Buddhist, Taoist, and other disciplines were at the heart of society. But for the past 60 years, the Chinese Communist Party, which views traditional culture as an ideological threat, has been systematically destroying this heritage. Its political campaigns like the Cultural Revolution have brought China’s traditions to near extinction. Based outside of China, Shen Yun has the artistic freedom to revive this lost culture and share it with the world. You cannot find a show like this in China today, but Shen Yun is striving to change that.
