Leon Chao’s dance career traces back to the age of eight, when he began training in martial arts. He later studied dance at Fei Tian Academy of the Arts, before going on to join Shen Yun Performing Arts in 2007 and tour with the company as well as perform in its Holiday Wonders production. In 2008 Mr. Chao won third place in the adult division of NTDTV’s International Chinese Classical Dance Competition, and in 2009 earned second place honors.
