Born into a family of musicians, Chia-Chi Lin took up violin at the age of three-and-a-half and has since been the recipient of numerous awards. After graduating from high school in Taiwan, she moved to the United States to pursue further education in music at a number of institutions, including Rice University and the Peabody Conservatory at Johns Hopkins University. After completing her studies, Ms. Lin became the Principal Second Violinist of the Honolulu Symphony Orchestra. From 1992 to 2008 she was a first violinist in the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra. She is currently a Conductor as well as Orchestra Manager with the Shen Yun Performing Arts Orchestra.
